HOUSTON, TX - May 1, 2009 - Core Rubber Resources and Oilfield Performance Products (OPP) today announce that they have entered into a definitive agreement. These two distinct companies are now one: Core International.
The managing partners of Core International, respected principals of the two companies, are Cody W. Johnson, Kurt E. Knauth, Chad E. Myers, and Phillip B. Meyer. The partners and their management team hold relevant degrees in business management, accounting, engineering, and law, and have more than 150 combined years of experience in rubber products manufacturing and delivery. Each partner will assume distinctive responsibilities. Johnson will serve as CEO, Meyer will serve as President, Myers will serve as Vice President of Sales, and Knauth will serve as Vice President of Operations. Additionally, Darin J. Miller will serve as Vice President of Engineering.
With distinguished complementary capabilities, Core International currently meets customer needs internationally with the world's most complete offering of oilfield rubber products. The product and supply expertise throughout the two entities has extended Core International's reach to support a broader portfolio of services.
Putting into practice a new business model, Core International applies ideas implemented and lessons learned in the oil industry to produce and provide rubber products for several other industries, including: aerospace; automotive, flow control, food handling and processing; railroad, and water works.
Core International uses its global presence to bring to its customers the best the company has to offer. Employees' diverse skill sets, including fluency in English, Spanish, Malaysian, Indonesian, Mandarin Chinese, Hokkien Chinese and American Sign Language, enhance the company's ability to communicate and process orders with their clients and vendors. Core International has manufacturing capabilities in the United States and Canada, as well as well- entrenched manufacturing plants in Malaysia and India; and distribution centers in Corsicana, Texas and Houston, Texas. The company's international headquarters houses engineering, sales and administration in Houston, Texas. Core International will continue to focus on its strength and expertise and aggressively expand its geographic areas of service.
